991.2 TTS Opening Fron Trunk By Touching Front Bumper?
#16
Figured it out, for some reason the car is not picking up the remote key fob in my pocket when I am standing in front of the car, but when I take out the key fob from my pocket and reach toward the windshield it works like a charm. I just replaced the battery in the key fob so didn't occur to me that it might be the problem. Seems the key fob sensing has a really short range, might be a different issue altogether though.
Seriously, try your other fob and see if the same.

Just tried the other key fob and it works in my pocket! You are right this key fob will need something... lol. Thanks for the troubleshooting tips!

strange don't have that problem with mine. Works in my pocket without issue.

Leave the key far away from the car while washing, also note that sometimes smart phones can interfere (not sure how since they are on different frequencies) with the frunk touch to open. Move the key away from the smart phone if they are in the same pocket and it will work.

Again, no need to touch to open. I don't like fingerprints on my paint. Just open your hand and hold flat about 1/2" above the bumper a few inches left of center. I wave my hand left- right and it opens. Works best this way for me.
