You're right! That reminds me of the fake undercoating treatments that new car salesmen used to push. I haven't heard that pitch in years.

I'm not looking particularly for pictures of one driving in the snow, but if one has one, please post. Mainly with snow in the background.

They use mag chloride here before a storm. I have plenty of sacrificial vehicles to drive, wouldn't take the 911 out in it unless the roads are dryish..

Oh man.. That stuff was horrrrrible. So many cars I've owned in Canada that had that stuff on there. Door jambs and under the hood coated with that black tar stuff which destroyed the clean look... Before I left people use to go for "rust proofing" Which basically coated and saturated the entire car in oil... You car would drip oil for days after having the job done.

Once upon a time when I was a detailer at a brand new dealership they would have me be the one installing all those "paint protection" "leather/fabric protection" scams when people bought new cars... They sold something called a "rust inhibitor" and charged anywhere from $500-$800 for this thing. It was some fake chinese ebay looking module with a blinking LED on it with three wires coming out. Positive, negative, and ground. Apparently this device would send pulses through the metal of the car which inhibited rust. Not only did I hate installing that crap, I'd always peek around for the buyer (without success) to tell them they should cancel/get a refund.

That makes my eyes hurt. LOL
A couple of weeks ago, I saw a Porsche commercial on YouTube showing a Cayman driving up a snow covered country side road.

these pictures are from a few years ago. It snowed here yesterday but I didn’t feel like taking my car out in it because it was still clean from last week when I washed it.

Great pics guys - no snow in LA here . Maybe I'll take her to Tahoe one of these days - maybe before spring with lots of snow and good roads. Road trip!

We live in Dallas, but we make an annual road trip to Vail for Christmas. I had Michelin Alpin's installed and enjoyed every second of the trip! We even squeezed in a run up

Pikes Peak.

When I picked up the car in PA last year. Having lived in Chicago for many years, I would love to drive this car in snow.

Pale comparison to some of these pics, but this is what I could find.

Wish I still lived in that house... new property is much better but the house has been a real pain, lol
