I’m shopping for wheels, looking to make a change end of the year. My car is very classic looking now, I am looking for a little more aggressive look. I’m trying my best not to spend $10K on wheels. Any suggestions on brands I should be shopping that might be more reasonable? Right now my favorite is BBS F1R. Still bumping $10k.
Any help appreciated. My car is below with current wheels. I do like my current wheels as they are definitely Porsche.
I think your car looks fantastic as it is with those wheels.
That's a truly classic Porsche look.
You have quite a few choices with the 5-lug setup.
That said, I've always preferred mostly factory wheels on the cars I've owned over the past 20 years.
Tough call...I did pick up a set of BBS FIR's for the car but have yet to mount them.
edit: To add...if I could get your wheels in centerlock, I'd be all over them.
...and I know I haven't helped much...
I really wanted the BBS Fi-R's but BBS won't even commit to a delivery time. Went with HRE R101 LW's, hopefully have them in the next month or so. Not my car but this is the wheel/color I ordered.
Here's an option I just put on mine. Don't see many turbos with the BBS CH-R. BBS doesn't really advertise/spec them for Turbo cars, but the C4S size works great. Price is reasonable too.
Also, I've read some complaints regarding the weight of the BBS CH-R, but weighing them side by side with my OEM Turbo wheels, the BBS's were 1.5 lbs heavier per wheel...not a deal breaker to me.

That is one of the nicest styles available.
Looks great.
There are lots of wheel options available in a similar style to the R101 LW or the FI-R, but at a lower price point. I was in the same camp when I bought my wheels - I really didn’t want to spend a ridiculous mount of money. Look at some of the smaller and/or boutique manufacturers.

Once the BBS FI-R becomes your favorite nothing will top it really. The HRE R101 Lightweight looks similar and is available in multiple sizes and colors from factory but they're a bit more expensive since they're custom built for each individual customer and you already mentioned not wanting to spend more than what the BBS' cost so that isn't a viable option. A great option for you would be HRE's 2nd most lightweight series of wheels which is the RC1 series. Still a custom forged performance wheel offered in any diameter, width, offsets, and color but can be had for less than $7k for the set. I had staggered 19"/20" BBS FI-Rs on my 2016 M3 and loved them. The holes in the spokes are a PITA to clean. That's literally the only downside.
I placed an order for 21" HRE R101LW in brushed polished clear back in April, and they're still not cut. So I would recommend going used. There are plenty of sets for sale on the forums under $8500 with and without tires. Mine are the same sizes/offsets as below:
