Congrats! My new to me 2019 991.2 Turbo bought 2 months ago is first Porsche also. Amazing and I'm still having fun learning all about it.

My signature picture, if you look closely, you'll see our '21 XC90. Great minds think alike! LOL

That sure is a great place to start for a first Porsche ! I wonder what you think of it compared to the M3 ??

It's actually my M2. Quite different experiences. M2 has a single turbo, is RWD, and has a manual transmission. For all intents and purposes, it's much more fun that the 911TT. My 911TT is clearly a better, more comfortable, more capable, and considerably faster car, but it can't match the engagement of rowing gears and sliding the rear out.

I appreciate all of my cars for how they make me feel. Each driving experience is different. Not at all minimizing the experience of the Turbo, but it's a scalpel, when sometimes I just want a hammer.

Thank you! I've owned a Volvo for the past 17 years. They are the perfect people mover and hauler. And damn if they don't look unique and fantastic!

I feel the same way. I miss my hammer at times. I am considering a GT2RS to with my turbo so I can have a Porsche hammer too. I miss doing donuts every week.

the Orions are super planes..flew over us all the time off Nam especially up in Yankee station off of N. Nam,them and the Rusky Bears(huge plane and they got so close the crewman were at the window with Nikons)the P3s always had this black exhaust trail from the engines
met a guy at VA hospital,,radioman aboard P3,,had the same crypto we had on ship but not as many...we were feeling each other out on the model# of the crypto equipment as its kinda hush hush but we each had specific questions for each other that not many non radioman would know..
i think they have
gone to jet engines now
its right up there with B52s and C-130s for versatility..
were U an officer,,brown shoe officers in air wings versus black shoe officers of the fleet..

Barncobob, ... I had many cool missions on the P3 (Charlie model). Great aircraft! You mentioned Bears. Had a few Bear encounters in the Med also. But not for long, since they were faster, but we're more maneuverable. And I'm sure their crewmen were able to take pictures of the occasional moon shot from one of the Orion's bubble observation windows also. LOL. Radio man duties taken over by the Navigator and TACCO on the Charlie. Sadly, you're right about the P3 being replaced with the P8A (Boeing 737). Yes, brown shoe Navy.
