Got fed up with the Porsche dealer taking 6 weeks for oil change appt. Changed oil and filter myself for the first time but have the following questions:

1. First, drained oil all night so really empty. First put 7.5 quarts of 0-40 Mobil 1 in and add oil message came on.

2. Added 1/2 quart for a total of 8 as the manual says. The electronic gauge was barely at minimum.

3. So I added another 2/3 of quart 9. The electronic gauge went up two levels on the bar and said oil level ok.

4. Added balance of quart 9 and the electronic gauge did not go past the two levels in step 3.

5. Now I have a full 9 quarts in a 2015 turbo s when 8 are recommended.

6. Do I have too much oil in the engine? The electronic oil gauge says two bars and OK.
