Welcome to the forums!
Great first post. It is interesting to see how the 991.2 compares to the other cars, especially the 992TTS. Too bad the 600 LT missed the launch. Maybe his car didn't cooperate.
Thanks for posting.
Is your car stock and what tires are you running?

Well done ! Strong running Cab !
Very impressive that it ran equal to a 992 TTS Cab and just slightly behind a 992 TTS coup.

Go and have a look at VMAX200 Facebook page. Quarter and half mile trap speeds all up there now inc 992 turbo s. They got mine wrong but can't be bothered to send VBOX just go for fun and the race. Top speeds at 1/4, 1/2 and 1.2 miles don't tend to lie but I don't care about them.
A few vids from previous VMAX. Its their own footage. 2021 R8 and 2020 600LT nailed multiple races. Raced them both 4x same result each time

The 992TTS runs the 1/4 mile in 10.1-10.3. Maybe there's a steep incline on that runway, or strong headwind, causing the slow times. Either way, I don't see a stock 991.2 TTS beating a 992.
P.S. I have a colleague with a 992TTS cab, waiting for him to pass the break in miles and we'll do a head to head with my 991.2TTS.

Three things, 50mph cross winds. They did not help us. Poor surface. Lastly the 992 turbo s are all delivery mileage brand new cars. I'm on 19,000 miles and nicely run in. Also no particulate filter for 991 like new 992 in Europe so mine with even less restrictive Europipe 2 50 cel helps keep IATs and EGTs lower than on the 992 turbo s.
I'll be honest 992 does nothing for me Porsche have lent me both a coupe and a cab for a week at a time. The most polite thing I can say is the user interface is a big step backwards. If I wanted to go faster I'd just get a 9e/Proto flash for 1000 bucks and 0-300kph in 18 secs. It will murder any 992 or even 991 GT2 RS for fun. See below.

Why does everyone keep comparing their tuned 991s to a stock 992? You do realise, that a stock 992 is almost as fast as a tuned 991.2, right? Everything in the 992 is better (user interface being subjective). Imagine what a tuned 992 would do in a year or so, once the tuners get into it. I don't get why people keep trying to justify their 991 is just as good or even better...

The vbox backs you up 100% !
The track surface had to horrible for a 1.9x sixty. That is spin city. Actually a 10.8 1/4 mile ET with that horrible 60ft is strong. That is a 10.3 with a prepped start. Well done !
What were your 1/2 mile, etc mph vs the 992 cab ?
You are helping me stay in my 2019 TTS until the 992.2 arrives.
Thanks for posting the info !

I don't think anyone is doing what you're assuming. But naturally people want to feel better about their "Tuned" 991's after seeing the "Stock" 992's not being much quicker / faster.
Of course everyone knows that it's a better car in every way (objectively). I mean, that's the point, right??
Of course a tuned 992 will be quicker still. Nobody will be surprised.
I think folks are just seeing all of this first 992 stuff and realizing, it's not such a huge "Gap" from their current cars and it's making them happy to stay put for now. 992.2 TT / TTS's would be the next move for most I'm sure.
As far as "looks" go and yes I know it's all subjective, I like many think the 991.2TTS's are better looking than the 992's. So that could be part of the reason people are wanting to stay put.
