Avoid doing this..
Today my car is at dealer to replace the passenger side seal (not sure what you call it) that is located at the bottom front of door frame..
If you open the door when the battery is disconnected and then close it the window indexing of course is not functional therefore the glass closes against the top door opening seal rather than "into" it and this pushes the glass out at the front seal on the door...yes of course tearing it...

Bummer. I learned on the 996 Turbo to make sure you lower the windows a bit before disconnecting the battery, though the penalty for not doing so is evidently not quite as severe.

Calgary or Edmonton? I hate it when stuff like that happens, good that they made good on it - hopefully the tech was nailed to a cross and placed out front for all to see.
