Default Tire Size gurus please help

Ok, about to put my springs on and was thinking of getting new tires at the same time. Original five year old tires, but very low miles.

Would 255/35/20 with 305/30/20 Work or is that to out of wack for the AWD, or should I go 255/35/20 and 315/30/20.

Thanks

I just put a new set of PS4S on my car & went with the 255/35 up front with the stock 305/30, it’s actually a closer combo in regards to overall height.

No issues whatsoever with those tire sizes Beware 5 year old tires will be dry even if new, don't expect good grip from them.

Was thinking 305 are more then enough in the rear, the fit nice on the wheel

255 in the front to get ride of the stretch look and give it more bit on the turn

But 315 would be the safer bet.

Going to a 265/30x20 and 325/25x20 brings you within 1/10th of an inch, front to rear; that could likely be a perfectly matched set by adding another 1/2" rim width, font/rear over stock.

The factory sizes are within a 1.47% radial variance, so (I know others have said other things...) anything within that variance (size wise) should not damage the AWD clutches.

lowered on Techart Springs, no rubbing

i have aftermarket 20 inch wheels though

9.5 inch wide front and 12.5 inch wide rears though 12 inch would have been fine

I’ll post exact wheel sizes later today with offsets...

with this setup you not only end up with wider tires front and back...you also end up able to use the stickier Sport Cup 2 tires without messing up front to back roll rates on all wheel drive cars...been driving mine for a month as is and love it...

Well, although opinions vary, go with what best suits your usage - if you have deep pockets and it is about optics above all else, seems like there are multiple options. If preservation is the name f the game, stay within the stock parameters.

Simple.
