Had a chance to install the Carbonlution side vents this weekend and figured I would share some pics.
First, the fit and finish is excellent. No imperfections in the weave or clear coat.
Second, no issues at all with the rigidity of the clips or how they are secured vs. stock units
Third, super easy to install. All of 15 minutes. Just grasp the stock vents from the inside lip and pull. New carbon ones hook into the same posts as the old and the 3m tape holds the longer extension of the RS vents securely in place. You need to prep the surface first with alcohol.
Hopefully you guys can get the Group Buy going. In my opinion they are well worth it vs. the pricing of others out there. Enjoy
OEM vent OEM Vent Carbonlution vent Solid clips as good as OEM OEM clips Just grab lip and pull to remove I added a little lube to the posts and u clips to make them easier to slide on Passenger side Installed RS Carbonlution passenger side Rear view Drivers side

I see they have a few other carbon bits available. Were these the only parts you ordered?
I wanted to see what these looked like prior to ordering any other parts. Now that I have seen them I plan on ordering the mirror wings and louvers for the rear engine cover. If/When they make side skirts in carbon I will order them as well if reasonably priced.

I was looking at the same parts, and perhaps the inner door sills as well. Thanks for posting.
Stupid question #1.........When you removed the OEM vents, did you grip them at the top and bottom inner lip to pull them out?
Yes, just reached in and felt for the edge with my fingers then pulled out. They popped right out. Dont forget to clean the crap out from underneath and use isopropyl alcohol to take wax off of area where the tape adheres to.
When you installed the Carbonlution vents,
did you push them straight in, or start at a slight angle so you didn’t scratch your paint?
You mentioned you used double sided tape (is it supplied from Carbonlution?), I’m guessing you had to go at an angle initially so the tape wouldn’t stick prematurely.
Lastly, did you tape off the paint in front of the vents, to avoid scratching the paint?
Thanks in advance for your answers!
I want to make sure I install these properly, and don’t butcher my paint.

George...they are plastic so they won't scratch the paint. Once you get them it will be apparent how they go in. The clips on the vents fit into posts on the body. I just aligned the bottom first at an angle, then aligned the middle and top clips to the posts. Then just push in. They snap right in place. I put my index finger between the vent and body to leave a slight space so the tape will not stick on the way in but honestly if it does begin to stick you can pull it away until the vent seats. Once seated I just applied pressure to the tape and finaished off with a blow dryer to heat up the area a bit to make sure it sticks fully., The clips are what hold the vent in place. The only purpose fo the tape is to hold the extended part of the vent to the vent flush to the body since the RS vents stick out further than the OEM vents. Hope this helps.
