Thanks!

It's a triple layer paint called Rosso Maranello, Ferrari's version of candy apple red

A couple more in the detail shop...

Stunning collection Elliot. Love the color of both. The 458 is so nice.

I like Mclaren's Volcano red as well as Memphis red

How do you decide which to drive?

How does that lift work?

Thanks Neil!

I don't want to derail this thread, but I guess it's along the same theme of Ferrari/Porsche combos.....

I agree, that Volcano red is awesome

I drive the Porsche more because it's on the bottom and easier to jump in and drive, and it's much more user friendly. I really enjoy both cars, they are quite different driving experiences. Feel very blessed to own these cars

Very nice rides !!..Question...what would you estimate the roof height of the Ferrari to be off the floor when it's parked upstairs? I've been interested in a lift possibility but I have a beam across my garage and clearance is a concern..TIA

Ferrari 458 Spider is 48" in height. Ceiling height is 112". One arm lift by American Custom Lifts works great and does not take up a lot of room. I have about 8" clearance above the Ferrari on top and about 6" clearance above the Porsche below. I have the lift marked so I know exactly where to stop when lifting.

So you'd figure 103" from the garage floor to the top of the Ferrari ?

just measured: 104" from garage floor to top of Ferrari. Correction: ceiling height is 112"

Awesome info thanks..!! It's so close for me...actually my second car is a 2009 ZR1 so I'll have to ascertain it's dimensions..does the lift have to exceed the upper travel (104") to settle back or say latch ?

yes, I'd say an inch or so above the 104" mark to hear the click, then lower it down on the latch at 104"

there are other benefits of having a lift: detailing is much easier and working/inspecting underneath
