Headlight Housing Cracked, What are My Options?
My driver's side headlight housing is cracked.
Probably from highway stone.
Insurance claim not an option.
Any recs from forum greatly appreciated.
Do I really need a new LED light assembly?
Thanks.

Unfortunately, they appear to be all the way through.
Multiple cracks on plastic housing.
Looks like part number for light assembly is: 991 631 175 ?

Not clear if you have the ‘black’ trim or not. No LED listed with black trim. But the non-LED has part numbers for both.

Great point.
My dealer SA is looking into possible warranty -- assuming no "outside influence" ie: rock.
As I inspect the housing further, there really isn't any evidence of road debris.
Simply multiple spider cracks. Odd.

All,
i believe this might be related to UV damage. I had PPF on my headlights but the PPF didn’t cover the entire lens. The small edge that was NOT covered developed the same cracks whereas the areas that are covered were fine. See pics below. I believe this makes a stronger case to cover the lights in PPF.

I tried but unfortunately it was a no-go as I was out of warranty. It’s a shame but the damage was minimized due to the film protecting the headlights.
agreed randy! The film can be removed with care and protect the headlights from developing these cracks!
