Someone please enlighten the unenlightened. What do people mean by a wide body? Is my 991.1 Turbo a wide body? I hate this state of ignorance.

I believe in the 991 there are both wide and narrow bodies. Wide include all the 4wd models and the turbo/turbo s.

So yes your Turbo is a wide body.

There are three body widths for 991s:

Narrow: Carrera 2, Carrera 2S
Wide: Carrera 4, Carrera 4S, Targa 4, Targa 4S, all GTS models (both RWD and AWD), GT3
Turbo (extra-wide with the rear side intakes): Turbo, Turbo S, GT3 RS, GT2 RS

I was mistaken. Yours is not a wide body. It is extra wide body!

Is the Carrera T a narrow?

Yeah the T is narrow. The widths are ~71.2", 72.9" and 74.0" for the three body styles.

You learn something everyday. I thought the Turbo and C4S (for instance) was the same width, I wasn't aware of the extra-wide . . . Thanks, KH
