Discount on new purchase?
Looking to spec a new Turbo in the upcoming future. What is the typical discount off MSRP I should be looking for when I walk into a dealership? Thanks.

Totally depends on the current supply/demand. I've gotten 7% off to 2% off, depending on what I'm ordering and when. Best bet is to spec your car, then call around to local and out-of-market dealers to get them to make you discount offers for your configuration. If you want to save some cash, look at the current new inventory within a few hundred miles of you for even better deals. I know there are some dealers sitting on 991.2 TTS's that are terrified they won't sell before the 992 is released, and I've seen some offers below cost, or $20-30k off, depending on the specific car and dealer situation.

Ready to buy another, but I must say I am NOT impressed with the 2019 Cayenne S. Compared to what I have, serious lag for the turbo to spool up, and the Bose system sounds like my wife's stock BMW radio. It made me really appreciate the normally aspirated V8 I have. Maybe I need to look at the Turbo.

Ordered a TTS back in March. Dealer gave me 7% off a custom order.

Yes, I figured so. Thank you. I’ll most likely wait a bit and let the first ones come out, no rush for me. Prefer to save the extra 10k or so which could pay for years worth of gas and maintenance.

Nothing in Canada; was apparently lucky to get the last allotment... however, the dealership sprung for the wrap...

My 991.2 GT3 Touring that I custom ordered received 0% discount along with full charge on wrap. They did toss in a "GT3 Fever" Tshirt at NC.....

I did ask when I was going through the process and the reason given for no discount was that in western Canada, there was zero problem selling every single allotment - we can thank Vancouver for that! So, the logic being that if I didn't take it, somebody would, and therefore, there was no economic reason to offer any type of discount.

I negotiated a modest discount..4% as this unit had previously been taken by a customer then cancelled so they jumped at the opportunity to sell the position to me..then they made it all back in ext warranties and service plan

Wrong attitude. You could get hit by a Chevy crossing the road tomorrow. Pay the $10k now and enjoy.
