Lowering the Engine

Lowering the Engine
Wondering if anyone has lowered the engine, not all the way, just enough to have more space to change the plenum and the AOS.
The service manual depicts it to be simple and so does this video...BUT I AM SURE IT CAN'T BE THAT EASY! It never is.
My main concerns are:
1. The amount of slack any hard lines have, any risk of snapping one?
2. Is there anything else to loosen? Like the bracket/straps that holds the exhaust, etc.
3. Besides measuring body-to-engine distances, how do you ensure the engine goes back exactly where it was? Do the mounts place the engine precisely back in place?
