Default Higher mileage problems?

Hi guys,

A month ago somebody t-boned my 997C4, which saved my life but was a total loss. I'm looking at a 2014 TurboS with 40,000 miles, and I wonder what are the issues that crop up with higher-mileage Turbos at, say, 100,000 miles. Does anybody here know?

Thanks in advance,

Rich

Haven’t heard of anything significant or common with these cars, but you could also look into a fidelity warranty if they cover the vehicle you’re interested in. It’s anywhere from 4-6k I believe but covers a good number of years and miles.

MIne has around 44k miles and no issues what so ever and I daily drive it and stomp in it every day to work and back. A friend of mine who is a professional cup car racer says the only time he sees issues in these Porsche's is when they sit too long un-driven. These horsies have to run.

Hey, thanks guys. In part, thanks to your thoughts, today I bought this 2014 Turbo S cab in mint condition. That said, I did buy the 6-year, 100000 mile bumper-to-bumper extended warranty as well.

It's a big step up from my C4 cab that somebody t-boned and totaled a month ago. And just wee bit different from my '69 911T and '67 911 racecar. Tee hee.

My car has nearly 46K miles and no issues. It's CPO'd and has had all the scheduled routine maintenance but time for new shoes, lol. I purchased the car with with 40K miles last year and wouldn't hesitate to purchase a well maintained "high" mileage car. Go for it if it checks out.

Congrats on getting a cab! Launch control with the top down is one of the best experiences ever (especially for the passenger).

Have 33k miles on mine, CPO warranty through 2020, driven daily, only issues are a replaced cupholder and the occasional bad parking sensor.

Congrats on the purchase. Go out and do some launch controls. Also get a dragy so you can let us know how you do.

I had to look up what is a Dragy. Interesting. This afternoon I was looking at VBox HD2 for my 911 racecar, which is sort of like a Dragy on hypersteroids plus two HD videocams.
