Default Picking Up TTS Cab in July, need advice!

Hey everyone,

i ordered a TTS Cab and I’ll be able to pick it up in July hopefully. Was wondering though what you guys would recommend as far as mods?

Im in the Austin area and already got a quote for full vehicle PPF and ceramic tints (including windshield) for roughly 5300 including military discount. What do you guys think about this quote? Full front only with full ceramic tints was about 4K.

also, I forgot to add CF illuminated door sills so I was thinking about buying those with the CF side vents and the red key trim and red ignition from suncoast. Color combo is white on red/black.

I was was wondering what the experts thought about my potential mods and am open to any recommendations.

Congrats on the new to arrive car. If this is your first 911 you’ve got a great car. I agree with the PPF. I in fact did my entire car. Not only protects from rock chips but from scratches when it is washed. As far as the price goes I think on a cab the full wrap should be around $3500 or so. If you get the wrap I don't think a ceramic coating is NECESSARY, but that will be up to you. That should addd about $1200-1500 max. Definitely want to ad laser and radar countermeasures. I have the ALP and escort built in, but a windshield mount radar will do for a starter. Then ad the alp for laser defense. I know a lot of guys on here do engine and exhaust mods, but I would wait and see how you like it stock. It is already such a great car.

thank you! I’m very excited. It’ll be my first Porsche! Always been a BMW guy but something’s been missing lately from their M lineup. Yes PPF is a must! I’ll shop around more then since I share your sentiments about price. I was also looking at the escort 360ci so were on the same page there!

No im coming from a 440HP car so power is plenty enough. I don’t do engine mods since I don’t track my cars.

Sorry I should have clarified. I meant modifications that are aesthetic or functional such as PPF, aftermarket cup holder, radar, tints, CF side vents and door sills, red key trim, red ignition trim, etc.

im sure I’ll love its performance so I don’t expect to do any mechanical mods.

Ultimate cup holder is a must have for me.

I don’t drink in my car, but my commute is short. I think the cup holder that comes with the car is fine.

I have the Rennline magnetic phone mount.

Zunsport does not make one for the 991.2 TTS yet. Rennline may but more labor to install......do a search on that............

I have the Rennline grill mesh on my 2017 991.2 TTS. I also had them installed on a 2010 997.2 TT. Both behind the bumper installations. I am/was very happy with both.

I have the Rennline grille mesh on my car. More of an OEM look than the ones that install from the front I think.
