Default Car Play Cable

I noticed the default length iPhone cable is too long to fit nicely in the center console with the door closed. Am I using this wrong or would a short 6" cable be better?

I use a regular chord and then stick the phone in the passenger side net. Makes it easier in case I need to look at the phone (at a stoplight of course).

micro-USB

I really like this one:
Amazon Amazon

It's coiled so it's short enough to fit in the center console but also stretches longer if you want to grab your phone without unplugging it for a sec.
