TPMS Sensors not learning
So i just got some HRE wheels, and i got new sensors for them so they matched the wheel finish, 400 hertz or whatever the measurement is. They didn't seem to learn so i just put my factory sensors back in, and they aren't re-learning either. I've swapped wheels a few times already and had no issues. Car is a 17 with only 4k miles on it. Any ideas on how to fix this? TIA

I had a similar problem and they had to recalibrate the sensors with their wireless device, afterwards it re learned in just a few minutes
btw the sensors for 991.1 and 991.2 are different

yeah but i put my factory sensors back in so i know it's not the sensors. i'll see if it learns, if not i'll go to the damn dealer.

Just go out and drive around for an hour. The wife accidentally reset the TPMS in the loaner Macan they gave us the other day. It took almost the entire 40 minute drive back to the dealership when going to pick up my car for the sensors to be relearned.

ok...i just had this problem.....they worked with my summer wheels but wouldn't learn winter wheels. Then when i put the original summer wheels on...it sis not learn them either.
here is the trick....go onto your tpms settings and select winter or summer check box. If it's on summer, then select winter or if it winter select summer. The key is change the setting....and boom! Learned immediately!

Also a '17 TTS and experiencing the same problem. I play a lot with my tire pressures and specially so for a recent 1/2 mile event. Will try the trick suggested here to change to winter and back to summer and will report back

Was told this is an issue on a lot of 2017's, happened to me last spring and this spring, car thinks when it gets warmer that you changed from winter to summer tires, switched from summer to winter and back to summer tires on the DIC, made no difference, drove for a day with the warnings, the next day the warnings were gone and all is good, so this year just drove it all day, the next day the warnings were gone and all was good. It was the same with putting on new wheels and tires, just drove it for a day and the sensors will learn, with Porsche things are always slightly different

I've tried back to summer, comfort load, hi load, winter and both, am calling no joy!

I thought the TMPS sensors were inductively charged?
No, same snowies on OZs I've been using since 2018.

If I ever pass the HUF plant in Germany I am chucking my old ones through their window.
