N1 are 991.2 gt3 tires
N2 are 991.2 gt3rs and 991 gt2rs tires - n2 seems faster than n1
N0 are 991.1 and 918 tires (guess I am not wrong here)

Mercedes has M0 for AMG GTR

So Ferrari has K line
BMW, Audi and Chevy Z06 have also some custom built Cup2
There are on the shelf Cup2s too Take care the specs might be quite different, compound, tread, dimensions, etc

Then we have the Cup2R and these will be again N rated, K rated, M rated etc, but Cup2R for Merc will be M01 instead of M0... I am stil learning here...

Seems first week of April we will be able to order (at least in Europe)
245 and 305 K rated Cup2Rs for Ferrari Pista... should work well for gt3 and TT/S
265s N2

Thanks for the reply! Do you think this new Cup2R will be better than the Toyo R888R for street, rally and 1/4-1/2 mile events overall? I currently run on my TTS for the street stock Michelin front and Toyo 888R rear. I want to change the tire setup for it but literally don't know much about this tire topics since they seem to be lots and lots and lots of information. My car is far from stock so maybe that changes the answer to my question.

I used R888 on my 996tt (gt30-1000hp and gt28 road racing setup) and R888R on my 1200hp GTR and I can tell you the R888/R are maybe the best tires for 1/4-1/2mile events + highway fun from the grip level point of view, I expect cup2Rs to be close but maybe not at the same level. But R888 are noisy like HELL, so and so in the rain. For road racing/circuit racing they aren't so good, even they grip well for 2-3 sessions, after that they drop their performance to like a performance street tire like P4S or so... I dont like them for track days.

My 991 is maybe 700hp and using Cup2 with bigger diameter(that helps) and taller side wall from the increased diameter (that helps too 325/30/20), and I can not say having real grip issues unless really cold outside.
If you want the best grip, keep the R888R until we get some more data about the Cup2Rs, no other tire compares to R888R for your goal.

I have not tried Hoosiers, but of all the other combinations for the TTS, the Cup2 265 N2/325 M0 setup worked best for me for road course work, with psi between 30-32.

Survey: What are people doing with TOE?

A lot of info..

All I can say is that my preferred DOT tire is the Trofeo R on 20", I have not tried the Cup R yet, literature and tests say they are 0.5s per km faster than the Cup 2. Hoosier is my less favorite, I always have a set of R7 though at home for my 19" wheels to go testing or playing at the track..

Concerning alignment and settings, each person has different opinions and it all depends on the track, tires, suspension and driving style, unless you test carefully each change separately, no one can tell you this is best.. Most of us cannot tell a slight difference in camber, toe or Caster, yet we like to know we have it right. What I do know is that for the past 20 years no Porsche I owned was driven on the track with less camber in the front than rear and 90% of all tires I run same front and rear pressures. The 991 also likes a bit of toe- in in the rear according to Manthey setups.

With non adjustable suspension (compression/rebound) the biggest impact to cure oversteer in corner exit will be lowering the rear of the car in my opinion. I lowered my car in the rear substantially, again per advice of the suspension guru at MR and with >700HP it works very well with TC and some light foot

Deciding on expensive DOT R tires or judging their grip in straight line racing such as drag or rolling races I think is quite irrelevant, all these tires require temps above ~120F to perform, when cold they can be worse than a PS2.

N0-N1-N2 etc.. Is a Porsche rating based on 4-5 parameters that they test, and refer to what version of the said tire it is. first generation Cup 2 will be N0, improved version on a new Porsche model it will be N1 etc.. Here is a file with all the Porsche models and tires.

Rolling diameter max - 733mm
Pffff this tire is almost as tall as 325/30/21..... so it doesn't seem to fit.... I will look more into 315/30/20 specs
