Default Sam@ByDesign/Kline Inconel exhaust

Where do I start.

I bought the Kline Inconel catless exhaust from Sam @ByDesign at a really good deal. The guy is killer to work with, and answered any questions I had well beyond normal closing hours. Note: Never work on your car if you are tired or fatigued. And, a little dehydrated, lol. It’s a fairly easy install, just be awake, lol.

The hardest part of this job is getting the stock muffler out. You’ll have to remove the tips. Use an E-socket, E12. Then get ready to cuss.

One more very important install tip, keep ALL the bolts very loose, which means the cat pipes and the junction between the new exhaust and cats. Once you get all the bolts installed, start tightening the muffler to cat bolts first, then cat to turbo bolts.

I was running fabspeed catless pipes and stock muffler. Forget that setup. This new exhaust has a high pitch, F1 type wail. It sounds incredible, but once off the heavy throttle is quiet.

I installed some O2 deletes, hopefully they work otherwise I’ll have to get some 200 cell cats.

Ill try and upload some pics.

Same set up is in my garage waiting for my April delivery. Did you have a cell with the first cat delete combo ?

I did. Sam modified the Cobb stg 2 tune to delete that CEL.

Ill send him a log of a run next week and I’ll have him turn the cat ready sensors ON, hopefully No CELS.

You don’t need to remove the rear bumper. And, as you’ve probably discovered, that Inconel is an extremely light metal.

And, it feels like the car picked up 30hp (certified *** dyno verified). The stock muffler, even with cat deletes is more restrictive than I thought.

Excellent ! I’m very impressed with the light weight and build quality of the Kline. Did you get the 63mm system?

I believe I did. Sam will probably chime in later. You’re going to love it.

No, I’m woefully ignorant about Porsche and the tricks used, but I’m learning fast.

I don't really have a way to make a good sound video, but it sounds like this:

Update: The Vibrant Perf O2 simulators are working, two days so far and no CEL lights. I switched to the Cobb stg 2 tune, which has the O2 readiness monitors active. I’m assuming it will pass an OBD emissions check without issue. I’ll switch back to Sam’s tune in the mean time.

Excellent news on the Simms. How is the cruising sound vs pure stock ?

I’m about to pull the trigger on the Kline. The inconel is about 2x the price as the stainless? Is the sound that much better?
