Default .2 T oil consumption

New to this car with 10,000km on it and seeing about 1l per 3,000km in oil consumption with everyday use. Wondering how this compares and the only thread I found was from 2014? Also, from that thread it seems the method of checking is different on the .2 turbos? Thanks, Doug

I have a .1 TTS. I have owned 4 previous generation Porsche TT cars that all used oil in minor way. My .1 TTS does not use almost any oil during daily driving. I am both surprised and pleased as I expected some oil use. Can't speak for the .2's.

My 991.2 hasn't used any oil that I can tell. I've let it go 8K between oil changes once, and it had no apparent oil use.

3000 miles and one track day without change in oil level (not even 1 notch), so the OP's oil consumption seems high.

I've done the same and the oil level has not moved. OP - I would take it back to the dealer.

Appreciate the replies. My estimate was by rough extrapolation from the first 1,000km so I'll keep an eye on it as I don't know how close it was to dropping to the current level at the time I first got it?

In the manual it will specify a max consumption. I'm thinking you are below this level. May want to give it a check.

It's well below so won't get any attention from Porsche. Just looking for comparables. My past experience, having a half dozen p-cars over the years, is quite a bit of variability but I would expect modern manufacturing to narrow this range. Appreciate the input. I'll be switching out the Mobil 1 in favour of Motul XCess 5W40 at the next change and expecting notable improvement.
