Default 2014 Porsche 911 Turbo S

Hey Guys,
First time posting... I found a 991*** Turbo S with 49K Miles... It's got extended warranty until 12/2020 or 75K Miles... I'm just curious to find out the reliability on this car for long term use, over 100k miles. I plan on buying and keeping the car and daily driving it. Does anyone know how reliable these cars are and if I'm going to run into any trouble with service/mechanics?

I think you mean 991. My 2007 997 Turbo was semi reliable. I bought a $5k warranty, and it paid for $1200 in repairs (serp belt and rollers) and didn't pay for $1800 in repairs (MAFs) in two years time before i sold it, so a waste of money. The 991 is a whole lot more complex with things like PDCC (active swaybar), rear axle steering, etc and it's hard to predict long term reliability at this point.

If it's a 2014, isn't it a 991? if it's a 991 they are bulletproof! Very reliable.

Know several owners of 14' tts's seem to be trouble free from the ones I know, they have less miles, one is around 20k and one is slightly less at like 18k, one is really tough on cars and has not broken a Porsche yet

Sorry folks, I meant 991* TTS. I'm a little hesitant to pull the trigger because of the amount of miles. Does anyone know of any common problems with the 2014 TTS?

My 2014 991 Turbo S has been a wonderful car so far. I’ve had no mechanical issues at all. It’s very reliable. My 997 Turbo was not as reliable. I highly recommend the 991 Turbo and Turbo S.

I went through that same thought process in May 2018. The car had 44,000 miles on it. I posed the same questions and basically found out that the car is very reliable. I then went on and purchased the car. I have to say I’ve only had it three months but it is really special. I say go for it. You will have a blast. Let us know how it turns out.

I've got a 2014 991 Turbo with 53k miles with seemingly no problems. However, I've only owned it for about 4 months now and put 2000 miles on it. But I did quite a bit of research before pulling the trigger and couldn't find any major issues like the IMS issues back in the day.

I have a 2014 991 TTS with 59k miles with a GIAC tune and Armytrix exhaust done a few thousand miles ago. Besides a leaky pressure turbo hose, zero issues as if now.

Hope I didn't just jinx myself.
