Launch Control issue
Hey guys
finally launched my tts (991.2).
Had launch control engaged launched ok but bounced lff first gear and wouldn’t go to 2nd (it was in auto). I let off a little and floored again and it shifted.
any ideas what i did wrong?
also, any concern about overreving?
thanks!

I've seen people launch with TC on and off. I leave mine off when doing LC, but have done it once with. Not sure I could feel much difference.
Can damage occur if you don't turn it off?

Crap I didn't know I was supposed to turn TC off!
Still weird that it wouldn't kick into 2nd and instead bounced off rev limiter. Would have thought it would just cut power but not block going to next gear...

You don't need to turn traction control off. The car handles the settings by itself.
You need to put the car in either Sport or Sport Plus, hold down the brake with your left foot, floor the throttle with the right (at this point the display in the instrument cluster will say "Launch Control"), and then release the brake pedal to launch. No other settings changes needed other than selecting sport or sport plus.

It's not necessary. Launch control is its own traction mode so it is irrelevant whether you had it on or off prior to activating launch control. I would leave it on, because then once you are done with the launch it will revert to on.

Now, my TTS is a 997.2, but I assume it's the same compared to the 991.1 & .2's.

I have done it quite a few times. I always put it in sport plus, left foot on the break hard, right foot full throttle and then release the break. I always leave tracks control alone in other words it’s always on. I have never had a problem.
