New Ford GT
Great cars and coffee today. Beautiful day for a drive and as always loads of great cars.
First time seeing a new Ford GT on the street and not at a car show. It is a beast to look at. Big, wide, lots of angles, carbon fiber wheels etc... nice to look at but still prefer my ride. Would be afraid to park it anywhere.

Here's the car used for Car & Driver's Lightning Lap 2018, coming this Fall. I did a DE at VIR earlier this month, and we got into the paddock as C&D was wrapping up testing, so we got to see the cars they had for this year.
For fun, these are the two cars that will be used for the cover shot, which I happen to know one beat the record and one is a Chevy. I won't say more, out of respect to C&D, but there were a lot of beautiful and significant cars for this years testing. I can't wait to read it!!

The GT is real nice, my neighbor owns many, many ford dealerships, but at a 100k more than an 812 I was not interested, so to me the 812 was a bargain and went that route

I like the FGT in theory, but Ford seems to really have messed up the timeline.
Even now, when most of the cars are still at least a year before being delivered to their owners, the FGT seems slow and a bit antiquated to its primary rivals, e.g. 488 Pista, 720S, GT2 RS, Performante, etc.

Ford does not care about this car, it's just a one-off halo project so they could run at Le Mans. They could do so much with the Mustang but don't so...but it's still pretty cool.

It's a beautiful car to look at. Unfortunately it's still a Ford and their eye is not on this car or anything at this level. I agree with Randy on that.
Wasn't crazy about how it was finished inside but it drew a bunch of attention.
