I was going to purchase a new 2018 911 turbo S from Marco at Champion Porsche and put a $1000 deposit on the vehicle. Shortly after that I found a similar equipped car at another dealer that was willing to give me a better price on it (8% off vs 4%). I gave him the opportunity to meet the price but he said they couldn’t and understood if I took the other vehicle. I asked him to please refund my deposit and after 4 weeks of phone calls and emails it still hasn’t been refunded. I have spoken to my credit card company and they will resolve the issue but I thought Champion was a legitimate dealer. They certainly have lost any future business from me.
To be able to get these kinds of offers from a dealership on a Turbo still. :/

You will never catch me defending ANY PORSCHE DEALER any more. I don't trust a single one of them, and certainly have no loyalty to any dealer after the way they collectively have treated us all over the past few years. (And yes, I have had a dealer tell me essentially "Sorry, we got a better offer from somebody else" before)

Just when I thought I was out... they pull me back in....
People,
The issue is not the "contract".
The issue is not the "law".
The issue is not the "signature".
The issue is not "your word, your honor, or your morality."
The issue is "does it make good business sense to keep the deposit?"
The answer is no. If you think keeping the guys deposit makes good business sense, you clearly are not running your own business.
$1000 to not have this crap posted online about my business? Priceless!!
