Default Installed RS sideskirts on my 991 TTS, pics

I installed RS side skirts on my Turbo S today. Just wanted to share some pics. Driver side is RS and passenger is stock

SIDE BY SIDE - RS Side skirt is on TOP of stock side skirt. You can clearly see how far the RS flares out compared to stock here.

Sorry, I was referencing the first picture, the RS sideskirt is placed on TOP of the old stock side skirt so you can see the difference of the two flares. The first picture is two side skirts, RS on top. I’ll edit the post so it’s more clear.

COST?
Took me about 30 min for the first side, then 15 min for the other side now that I knew what I was doing. Not sure about front aero, I opted for a carbon fiber OEM lip on mine, the lip is an easy install.

Got these from Porsche Atlanta Perimeter for $345 shipped. Part numbers are 991504596901E0 and 991504595901E0 - they come with EVERYTHING you need.

Here is a great video of the DIY - Cam did a fantastic job with this video.

All you need is a pair of pliers for pulling the white clips off, I used channel locks. A short flat screw driver. A small socket wrench. A T20 TORX socket for the hidden screw and a T27 TORX socket for the exposed screws on the bottom front and rear. Car can be on the ground. No need to remove rear tires. Although, jacking up the car and removing REAR tire would make the job easier, it's absolutely not necessary.

For the record, I am mechanically inclined and handy, but this is a very novice job. I'd say 2 out of 5 difficulty. Everyone can do it and SHOULD. The skirts add some very nice subtle character to the car.

Thanks. I’m fairly handy to and this looks like a simple diy. Looks good, just a little extra profile. Like it.

I think on our lighter colored cars, these would look much better painted body color. I wonder what the cost would be to getting the RS Side skirts, rear valance and front aerokit spoiler painted.

i thought the same thing. I spoke to Suncoast and they are not recommending that this piece be painted. It’s soft and textured

Interesting. This guy has them painted.

Also if they really can't be painted, then I would probably go with the Carrera GTS side skirts since those can be painted.

I’m going to add them in the spring. I’m also going to add the Aerokit front spoiler. I’m going to ask my paint guy how he feels about painting the skirts too.

Would never paint them, left them black, 1. that area catches so many rocks...even with PPF, I think the paint would mess up, 2. like how they match my wheels and rear of the parts that are black. Just my two cents.
