Default New US 991 1/4 mile record 9.60@147mph

Set a new 991 Turbo U.S. 1/4 mile record yesterday (broke my own record by a tenth and 3mph). So now the U.S. 1/4 mile record for the Porsche 911 Turbo 991 platform is 9.60@147mph. Quickest and fastest stock motor 991 in U.S. Stock motor, stock trans, stock clutches.

This is not a trailer car. Drove it 4 hours to track and back on same DOT street legal tires I raced with.
Car made 7 separate 9.6 second passes. Trapped 147 twice. Track prep was not ideal nor was density altitude, so my 60' was off. Might have gotten to 9.5 if I was able to repeat previous 1.43 60 foot. Oh well.

Thanks to AIM Performance and Emre from ES Motor. Great build and tune!

Mods (chosen and installed by AIM Performance):
ESMotor 71mm VTG Turbos
ESMotor intercoolers
AIM Lightweight Exhaust
ESMotor headers
IPD Plenum
IPD Y pipe
meth kit
Lightweight Tecnocraft seats
OZ Wheels
Cobb tuned by Emre Levent from ES Motor

Hi, Your car is a straight beast! Does your car utilize the Cobb PDK upgrade software?

Thanks

Thanks! I have the software on my Cobb AP and have run the car with it and without it. But Emre from ESMotor custom tunes it.
This 9.60 @147mph run was with it, but many runs were short-shifting 2nd to 3rd. Might have been my power level combined with the sticky drag radials.
Emre went back to the stock PDK map and tuned it and I ran 9.59 this past weekend, but with lower trap speed.

The boyz at AIM wanted me to have the software mainly so that I could use the "re-learn" feature and tighten up the pdk on the fly right from my AccessPort.
Also good to experiment with your specific car and configuration to see if the software upgrade performs better.

Oh and by the way, if you can turn...you are not going fast enough!

Thanks for the info.. I currently have the PDK software on my Stage 4 car (no meth yet &#128513 and I totally agree with you about utilizing the software to align with the power level of your specific car.. These cars are so smart from the factory and fine tuning the PDK to deal with your respective horsepower and tire setup requires some trial and error launch and gear shift testing at your local drag strip to produce the optimum run down track.. In aggressive mode as you may already know, the clutches just grab like their literally locked together, producing some very fast and decisive gear shifts. Your car seems really dialed in, as its consistency is unreal.

Look forward to following your progress👍🏾

Thanks, Charles!

I ordered my Cobb AP before I even took delivery of my car (bought used) this summer. Brought it to the dealer when I picked it up and laid it on the salesman's desk when we sat down before he handed me the keys. He laughed. I installed stge one that very night.

Great product!
