What If I start the engine and let it stay on for 10-15 minutes every 3 days or so, still need to plug it in then?

Don't do that. Worst thing possible. Fuel dilution of the oil, is the main concern. Why can't you use a battery maintainer?

Just remove the battery, and maintain elsewhere.

How long will you be in storage?

You mean remove it out of the car? Sorry I'm a noob at this. I was thinking Nov/Dec-April/May depending on the winter.

Yeah. Remove from car, and keep on a battery maintainer someplace else. You don't have electricity in the storage location? Not even an overhead light you can tap into?

Last winter I simply disconnected my battery and left frunk on first latch so it would not be locked and I could simply open and reconnect battery...the car sat unattended under car cover for 6 months and in the spring I simply reconnected the battery and it fired right up

I've always simply plugged a battery tender into one of the power/cigarette outlets along with all the other tips shared above and come in 5-6 months.

I never remove the battery, though I guess I could.... but I have accessible power.

Either way.... whatever floats your boat.

okay makes sense, yes I do have a plug outlet so should not be a issue. Now I just need to get the maintainer and car cover.

Also I just broke my car in today since it's fairly new, 3000km. Still need to do all those fluid changes?

The only fluid you need to change is your oil.

Make sure your washer fluid is full; less chance of freezing.

Also, fuel tank should be very full. Run in the fuel stabilizer a few miles. Use 1 ounce StaBil per 2.5 gallons fuel.
Will it make sense to leave the car with about 1/4 tank of fuel + stabilizer and in the spring (before turning it on) fill the tank all the way?

I'll put snow tires on mine. I put snow times on my C4 for 13 years. It's a blast in the snow. My other car will get snows but its rear wheel drive and will be terrible in the snow. The best drive of my life was in a driving rain storm. Most cars were pulled over underneath overpasses, but I was driving fairly hard and well planted on the road one fall day. It was a 4 hour drive and rained most of the drive. If I need go out in the snow, it will be my turbo that goes out.
