RWD Conversion for 991 TTS?
#17
Hello,
Is anyone yet to try this? Did it work? What did you have to do? I have a 2014 991 Turbo and it needs a front differential so I am just planning to do a RWD conversion instead of buy a new diff for $8000 Canadian dollars!
Thanks

How many miles on your car and how do you think this happened with your differential

It is a long story but basically the car got into the wrong hands after the leaving the dealer before it was shipped back to me up here in Vancouver Canada and I got the car back with plenty of parts stolen and never thought to check the fluids since they were just flushed. It is also possible that my good original diff was swapped out with a bad one.

Gotcha. That sucks, I can see why you want to do this now.

BTW it’s not just a awd light. It’s all kinds of issues with stability management and pdcc and all kinds of ****, anti lock. Look up dyno mode and you’ll see what you will be without.

Sounds like you may be dealing with a very compromised vehicle. Based on the starting hp of a 992 Carrera S you could tune that to almost what you will get with the TT and have a car built for the purpose you want. $'s may not work now that you have the other car but going RWD on a compromised car won't be cheap either.
