Black Car - Keeping it Clean argghhh!!!
Despite everyone warning me NOT to get a black TT I got it because it looked so bad A**...well now I am suffering, driving up and down 95 and the crazy Miami rain has been taking its toll. I got the car wrapped (front all the way to the A pillar and the side mirrors) but there are rain spots, oil spots and amazingly some buff marks from the dealer delivery all over the car (even where the PPF is). I took my car to a local specialist and he said that my car looks like its 3 years old and I only have it a 2 months!! If anyone out there has a black TT let me know how you keep it clean and shiny. Also, it was recommended that I pull off parts of the wrap, have the car paint detailed and then re-wrap (not in-expensive)...any guidance / input would be greatly appreciated!!

For the polish and wax, plus the ceramic coat you can call Alex @ Perfect Auto Shine 305-987-3534-he comes to you. IG @perfectshinecc
For the clear bra, I use only the best-Abe from Toughfilm 786-210-3843
Hope this helps,

I have a black car as well--front half is wrapped in XPEL. I have the car washed once/week and waxed each month. I still end up with swirl marks on the rear half of the car towards the end of each month. If I could do it over again I'd do a full XPEL wrap plus ceramic coating.

I had a black GT3 and I know the pain! Take it to a professional detailer that can do full paint correction and ceramic coating. See what they say about replacing the film.
Most importantly, after you have it detailed DO NOT wash the car yourself. Don't take it to a car wash. Don't let the dealer wash it. Use a good mobile detailer that knows how to wash the car properly while keeping the ceramic coating pristine and the paint swirl free. Sadly when you got a black car you forfeited your right to do any of the above.
The first thing I do when I get a new car is have it completely detailed and paint corrected (even brand new cars need this badly), then I never let anyone else touch them again. They look as good as new for years this way.

For about the price of a paint correction I invested in the Griot's Boss system - incl many different pads & compounds....very happy & non-scary learning curve.

That's why I just had my mobile detailer do every wash after I got the paint correction done. After a year and a half, zero swirls! It only takes one bad wash to mess up the paint, why risk it.

Black is not a color. It's a hobby.

1. Color correct car
2. Full wrap
3. Nano coat or whatever wrap
4. Wipe down with speed shine.
That's the only way I'll ever own a black car.

In the same boat.
My usual car wash pretty much ruined my paint with swirls in 2 washes.
Changed to a specialist car wash, had the paint corrected and coated and only wash it at the same place. No issues since. High maintenance, but when clean, looks amazing.
If you like to wash your car a lot, black car again is not ideal. With my other cars, as soon as they're a bit dirty and assuming it isn't going to rain, I'll wash them. With black, once a week/fortnight does the job.
