Finally pulled the trigger...
Hi all,
After lurking around here for some time and finally selling my Huracan, I got down to my local Porsche dealer here in the U.K. yesterday and pulled the trigger on a new Turbo S Cab with 5% discount (had to graft for the discount!!)
Colour was a difficult choice but after my Verde Mantis Lambo's lack of use due to impracticality and ridiculous amounts of attention I've decided on Black Metallic although 30% of me still feels I should've gone GT Silver with a lot of gloss black... but the decision has been made with the almost obligatory confusion and indecision!
Gone full stealth as follows with delivery March 2018
Spec:
Jet Black Metallic
Black hood
Black leather
Painted Porsche Turbo S on rear
Turbo S on Doors (hardly visible but that's how I fancy it)
LED Headlights in black PDSL+
Tinted tail lights
Entry & drive
Rear lid intakes painted
Headlight cleaners painted
Aerokit
Air intake & outlet slats painted
Rear side air intakes painted
Power steering plus
Front lift
Turbo S wheels
Adaptive cruise
Lane change assist
Speed limit display
Light design package
Heated multi function wheel
18 way Sports plus seats
Seat ventilation
Smoking package
Painted key
Racing Yellow dials, chrono & belts
Extended interior leather with contrast stitching in yellow
Crest on headrests and armrest
Sun visors in leather
Steering column in leather with contrast stitching
Leather backrestson seats
Illuminated carbon door sills
Burmester
Black porsche dust caps
Opinions welcome!!

Congrats! You'll love that build, nearly identical to mine and I have no regrets. I really like the yellow belts. I'm also glad I did the painted side intakes. Very subtle, but look great.

Unfortunately, Huracan in pic is not mine.
I was originally planning to purchase a Huracan Spyder, but when I sat in it I did not fit. (I'm 6'4"... Could "squeeze" in, but I looked like a clown).
I've heard great things about Huracans and even looked at the Aventador Roadster as plan B once I realized the Huracan was not an option for me. I fit in the Aventador perfectly, but did not like the manual roof. I live in FL and rain can happen quickly, I really wanted a power roof
911 does not sound as sexy as a Lambo and does not get the same attention. I like the "low key" super car aspect, as enthusiasts know what you're driving but you don't get "too much" attention.
I would prefer a more aggressive exhaust note. There are times I love it, but other times I am considering something aftermarket to give it a more aggressive tone.
I have not tracked it other than PEC in Atlanta with their 911 Turbo S coupe.
The power curve on the TTS is unbelievable, all other cars will seem boring to you quickly in that regard!

The Huracan, as absolutely beautiful as is was, was just too limited in its use in the UK. Perfect in many, many ways but just 'too much' in many areas of my life. I had a 700bhp Turbo S 997 Gen 1 a few years ago in a manual and was ballistic but the manual and woeful tech was a bit annoying. I love the 'stealth' of the TTS and there's virtually no where I wouldn't take it and no group of friends that I'd feel uncomfortable vistiting in it.
How's the ride with the 21"s??

Beautiful looking Huracan! Is that the RRS SVR? Very nice SUV.
Hard to give a good comparison of 20's vs 21's as I never drove it with the 20's. I had the dealer install the 21's as soon as it arrived. The ride is excellent though, much better than I expected - especially considering it is lowered with GMG springs. I really expected the ride to be quite jarring, but have been pleasantly surprised.

I have the lift and I've not had any issues with it being lowered. I have GMG springs, which my installer said were compatible. GMG's web site seems to indicate this is not the case. I'm not completely clear why the discrepancy in this case as I've had no issues, works great.
I have found I don't need the lift often, even as a lowered car. At first I used the lift all of the time when going over small driveway entrance curbs and bumps, but I'm finding clearance is pretty fantastic - even with the spoiler/lip deployed.
At steeper angles on some ramps, it has been very helpful.

That's a lovely, lovely spec man... if your steering wheel was on correct side I'd make you an offer! ))
Upon reflection, I'm going add the rear centre tunnel leather and rear footwell lighting now, the salesman half talked me out of it but your rear leather looks awesome.
Wanting to learn from your experience, is there anything that if you could turn back the clock that you wished you had added at point of ordering?
Thanks for all your input mate.

Ha!
Regarding what I'd do differently....
- I would have ordered the rear view mirror in leather also.
- The rear tunnel looks great, I'm glad I did this. Highly recommend it.
- I would not order the rear footwell lighting again. It's actually a little obnoxious if the passenger seat is too far forward, seems unnatural and is quite bright.
- I would have ordered the leather sun visors aftermarket. In the US, they come from the factory with a horrid safety sticker nearly the size of the visor itself. If I bought aftermarket, they would not have this.
- I would have ordered the extended leather package for the seats (covers the latch and some side plates in leather versus the bright silver). I tried to change this a few days after lock and could not. I really thought this would bother me once I got the car, but don't notice so much - I do think it would look nicer with this option though.
Hope this helps, can't wait to see your final build!
