I would go for the 991.2 TT

991.2 is vastly improved over 991.1. Both in terms of performance and looks.

Mike,
'15 TTS.
You get a new P car every year.
Try the '15TTS this time around.
By next year, you'll likely get a .2 TTS.
Loving your prior '14TT -- spec'd as an S. Just a great car.

^ The new nav/info doesn't really matter to me. Kinda like the system in my 14 better. Apple car play overrated IMO. Just me but I simply listen to SIRIUS, FM or my music on the phone. These cars are loud and I'm not an audiophile.

I'm glad I have PCCB on my TTS every time I clean the wheels.

Not looking forward to replacement when that time comes ($$$$).

PCCB looks better (yellow calipers!), but the steel works just fine, particularly if you are not on the track.

Tough call now that your automotive ADD nature has been revealed.
Perhaps moving to a 15 TTS for a brief interlude as ok-cami points out, would make more sense in your case and retain PCCB and PDCC, just buy some good winter gloves.
Coming from a 14 TT (as I did), moving to a 17 TT makes less sense.

Either way - tough 1st world problems!

Definitely go for the 2017 -- my Turbo is essentially the same (Metallic White, Black / Bordeaux), with no PDCC. The handling / cornering is superb w/o the PDCC IMO. There are so many improvements in the 991.2, and the standard wheels that come with the Turbo are particularly nice.

Good piece of marketing from Porsche - will give you the wants for either of the '17 Turbos:
