Ultraviolet Purple GT3RS Full Car XPEL and CQuartz Reserve @ Shine Auto
The demand for the GT3RS continues to grow as individuals are having to wait, several months to a couple of years, to get their hands on one of Porsche's most sought after machines. Our customer took delivery of his Ultraviolet Purple GT3RS and immediately brought it to us to protect his investment. He wanted to get the entire vehicle protected with XPEL Ultimate self healing paint protection film. We covered every inch of the vehicle with XPEL! Every vehicle gets an initial wash to remove any surface debris so we can properly identify and address any imperfections on the paints surface. Most people think that their new vehicle will arrive to them in near perfect condition. It's not very often we see a vehicle arrive to our facility from the dealer in near perfect condition. That's where we step in!
After the initial wash, we can see the imperfections on the paint surface. Minor swirls and scratches are scattered across the entire vehicle. Since this GT3RS is getting full body XPEL coverage, we needed to fully polish the vehicle before any film is applied to get rid of all the imperfections.
Bye bye swirls and scratches! Since this Porsche had so many decals, we needed to mask off these to make sure no wax residue built up along the edges and this also prevented any damage to the decals.
Now it's time to start the application process of the XPEL film! We thoroughly cleaned the vehicle again after the polishing process to make sure no stray compound can get underneath the film. Each panel is thoroughly cleaned with a alcohol based solution before we apply the XPEL Ultimate film. The hardest part of this vehicle to apply was each rear fender section. This piece spans across the entire a-pillar, rear fender and lower rocker panel area.
Once the XPEL film was applied, we brought the GT3RS back into our detail area and began the prep for CQuartz Finest Reserve! CQuartz Finest Reserve is the newest ceramic coating on the market. This particular coating will last 3 - 5 years compared to CQuartz Professional which last 2 - 3 years. Not only does it have a longer life expectancy, Reserve adds more gloss and depth to your vehicles paint.
