Spy pics certainly look better than the new Q7, which just looks like a Volkswagen box these days.

It looks like barely more than a mid-model facelift, but on an all new lighter chassis. Surprisingly minimal changes no?

Doing nothing it would still look better than the new Q7. Not a fan of the new box and crease styling trend at Audi. They've gone from beautiful organic designs to overly busy boxes. They look like angry VWs.

What 3-row SUV do you think is better than a Q7? I looked at them all and ended up with a Q7.

Agreed. Very few changes. Looks like....a 958 Cayenne. Lol.

XC90 is very good. I would still give the nod to the Q7 primarily because of the powertrain, but the XC90 is a very strong contender. I have driven both, walked back and forth between the two at the auto show, and have a friend with an XC90. It's a tough choice.

I'm confused as well, but I do like the looks way more than what it could've been using the Q7 shell...

We own the last Q7 (2013 Prestige S Line) and, while I think it looks light years better than the new model, I'd never buy one again. I keep trying to convince the wife to let me throw a match in the gas tank.

To call the Q7 a three row SUV is kinda ridiculous. That third row is useless for anyone over the age 5. Kinda like saying the 911 has usable back seats, or that a Model S can seat 7...

But I'd take a Tahoe, Suburban, XC 90, etc., anything over a Q7 right now. But that's just me.

The new one is much more useful. I can fit in it, albeit not so comfortably, at 6'2". The XC90 has more room too. I am fairly comfortable in its third row.

But let's face it, only vehicles with real third rows are minivans and the suburban.
