Damn you guys!!! Hehe seriously, congrats to you guys, I would be pumped. Bucket list item of mine is to do Euro Delivery with my dad but I am near the bottom of the list for the .2 GT3 on a bunch of different dealers, yet keep my fingers crossed. Can't wait for you guys to post your threads and see all the pictures.

Congrats I turned a Nov build down bc that is too late in my book to take ED. Have fun! I'd head south.

I thought parking was hard to find in Leipzig, so keep that in mind if you're taking car back to hotel

I'm going with my 8 yo daughter, thankfully Leipzig doesn't have the age restrictions like Zuffenhausen. After my delivery we are immediately driving to Austria and spending the week driving around Austria and Northern Italy. Weather permitting we will be hitting as many rodelbahns as possible!
Right on!

My wife and I are planning to go.

Build Details - White, 6 Speed, PCCB, LWB, FAL, typical track goodies.

Trip Details -
- Monday Leipzig Delivery/Tour/Track Time
- Tuesday Zuffenhousen Museum Tour/Lunch
- Tuesday evening Nurburgring (if open, website seems to state it will be closed?)
- Wednesday & Thursday Site Seeing (lots of Autobaun runs), Castles (whatever else the wife wants)
- Friday SPA Track Day!!
- Saturday Return Car head home

Can't wait! Going to be a long 4 months... and then another 2 long months till stateside but will be enjoying reading about everyone elses experiences in the interim.

Best Regards,
Dave

So cool to see a lot of us taking this option. Agree about heading South, typically the drier season in October in Alps region. I'm going to wing it/improvise more then usual to chase to sun. Booking first night only, then changing plans based upon forecast. Isn't the iPhone great? Last minute hotel bookings, weather forecasts. I remember the older days just knocking on doors and looking for Zimmer Frei signs!

Not incidentally, I understand the new GT3 will include Apple's CarPlay. Life gets better and easier when it comes to navigation and music behind the wheel (when not listening to the motor, which is most of the time).

my wife's Cayenne has the new NAV and CarPlay. I've found it finicky at times on CarPlay. However the Overall update is amazing compared to the older versions which were quite frankly awful and horribly antiquated.

Did you guys select the 'navigation assistance'? Was that a checkbox left over from the early 90's?

I figured we'd just use our Cell Phones, but didn't know if that's something we might need?

Best Regards,
Dave

when I last did ED in 2014 the NAV was preloaded with Euro settings; it was then rebooted for US when returned. Interestingly however all my destinations were still in the history which I found odd. Perhaps with newer tech it doesn't matter now?

My last 3 trips to Europe however I've only used my iPhone for directions, creature of habit!
