.1 & .2 side by side

Never loved the front air intakes on the .1, but I love the .2. To me it looks way cleaner from the front, more aggressive and wider. Haven't seen the rear scoops in person, but I am sure there will be cars with CF and painted scoops before long.
I would love to see CF replacements for the black plastic on the front grille, the mirror stalks, the rear scoops and the wing tips.

I prefer the styling of the .1 over the .2 personally. As a total platform shift between the 991.1 to 991.2 and the 981 and 718 cars, I prefer the previous generations. I feel that Porsche is shifting to a less masculine look on both cars.
With that to say - I would take a 991.2 with the .1 front end and leave all else .2.
I will still take one however.

I do feel the entire platform line for Porsche is moving in this direction.
again just my opinion. I tend not to base my feelings off what someone else says.

"Hey Hans! Add a couple creases on the car."
"Why?"
"Creases are masculine."
"Are you sure?
"Yes it will be more aggressive. Customers will love it."
"Ok it looks like there's a couple open spots in front of the hood corners. I'll pencil in a random crease on each side."

Tough balance to moderniZe the 911 design language, comply with the same trend set for the entire Porsche family, and yet keep 911 traditionalists happy. Sounds like a tightrope in fact

I don't know whether I'd call it more mascunline or feminine, but I do feel like the styling is moving in an odd direction.

My wife's DD is a Lexus LX570. We have a 2015 because we hate the styling change that Lexus made to the LX starting in 2016. Lexus makes great vehicles but their styling is just moving in an odd direction.
I think I like the .1 because it embodies the idea of "less is more". My .1 is black and hides the lines well. My .2 order is GT silver but I am going to flip it white before it locks in on 09/18.
I am really excited for the new car don't get me wrong. What I'd love is the technonological and mechanical updates in the .2 but in the .1 styling. And give us the RS rear decklod and adjustable wing too.

Hi Nick. No I have not seen the new car in person. Perhaps it could be just the angles of the pictures that I have seen. I am glad that it is not as bad as I thought. My manual supposed to be here in December. I think yours gets here much sooner? Correct? Mark

Aren't cars usually considered female? I mean you usually give them female names when you name them right? Isn't trying to make a curvy beautiful 991 more masculine kind of like asking your wife to try to rogaine a moustache on her face to look more masculine?
