Got new front rotors today.
Not black but more like "metal colored".

i guess with the mad rush to get out these 10k plus RS's by the end of 2016 they cut some corners on quality control! No big deal, still drives the same which is all that matters. I never wash my cars anyway.

At Barber today for JTI (lunch break). Attitude at the track is very different toward the .1 RS than on Rennlist.

^^^^ Actual people, at actual race track, in the actual world still seem enthusiastic about the .1 RS, it's overall awesomeness and it's performance. Zero discussions about depreciation or the superiority of the as of yet unavailable .2 GT3.

Theory vs. practice I guess.

So, you didn't talk with any GT3 or RS owners.

Came across this same problem, and also only on one rotor hat. Seems like it's a thin coating over the metal that wore or chipped off.

Was wondering if the OP end up getting it re-painted or fixed? It's hard to DIY because the color is not quite black and impossible to match or touch up. Thx in advance.

i agree

.1RS is ridiculously fast...can't imagine a .2 GT3 being faster on equal tires, but I'm sure we will see next season

plan is for dealer to repaint them with upcoming tire change this winter. 3 of the 4 are getting quite discolored now.

Thanks for the quick reply! Curious if it's covered under warranty?

actually have no idea. I took it in for the complimentary inspection that local dealer offers for PCA DEs and pointed out the discoloration. They simply indicated they would re-paint them when tires changed over the winter. Perhaps I should have asked! i'll let you know in future.
