guys this is a once in a lifetime experience - my fiancee's dad just got a particularly bad diagnosis last Wednesday or I would 110% be there.

Make me a reasonable offer and they are yours.

I'm leaving for Italy this wed, and instead of going to Indy 500 or Monaco f1... I'll be interviewing GD caterers and flower people and who knows who else for my wedding next year. UGH!
Ask me if I'm willing to risk the wrath of my fiancée to attend Monaco F1 in your place?.. the answer is ...almost.. I'm 20-25% tempted to say "babe, we have A YEAR to plan this stupid thing, can we just go watch f1 instead"

Asking can't hurt.. if I never post on her tonight you'll know what happened. (It will mean I got banned, except by my fiancée this time)

Ps: and I'm very sorry to hear about your family situation

I last went in 2003, and enjoyed the race from an apartment party at St Devote (T1). It's a great spot to watch at the end of the start/finish straight, pit-out, and then up the hill. Quite a bit of action there. A big monitor visible, too. We were high enough up to hear the V10s without earplugs, and have a nice view of the harbor. Spent some time in the pits and on a yacht afterwards.

The race falls on my 50th in 2019. Hoping for ED of a GT3 at the end of the run, and do Monaco right again...
