What will they say when the MT is out? R will always be a collector car.

Great review. Thanks. Maybe we can consolidate this to the 991.2 GT3 review thread though?

Weird that he's comparing a PDK .2 to an R. It does sound great though...

Hilarious ending, with brutal honesty.

Interesting to note, however... are reviewers becoming just as political and contrived as Porsche Corporate?

I mean, to end on such a strong statement... then of course, pull it back a little bit after a bit of contemplation. Don't want to **** off the elite P-car buyer, so we?

If Porsche ever gets out of the car business, they should go into the business of making leashes.

Of course it's better.
The newer ones always are.

I predict the next one will be even better.

Yes, if the buyer was buying it intending to add to a collection, but if he were buying it to experience the highest evolution of a NA engine on a 911 with a manual, then that idea just went bust. And even as a collector's car, the value probably just went down at least 30% if not more, don't you think?

^Agree.

Unless every Porsche with a plaque is a Collector's car. But Congrats to those that flipped their cars for some good $$$. It would of been too tempting if I owned one not to flip it and buy a .2 GT3 Manual, a GT4, and a .1 RS.

Jethro just confirmed all that I wanted to learn. That was a great review he did. Best one to date on the .2 GT3. He certainly did not hold back.

To me, the R was Porsche's response to the popularity of the Singer... the R was a "more attainable, more capable" Singer, and now the .2 3 a "more attainable, more capable" R...

but at 500k.. I'd have gone Singer... like some may have gone R over the .2 3 if money didn't matter.

Im a small fish, new to the game, and couldn't be happier with my .2 allocation!

Jethro just may have edged Harris out as my fav. He just released a video on his personal 911 that was very well done.

I don't have an R and have a .2 GT3 incoming - but IMO calling this a review is a stretch. It was more like watching a PAG marketing video.

Honest view that the .2 GT3 in manual is better than the R because it gives you more of those moments, yet he hasn't driven it?

What a shock the new car that will be built in volume reviews well over the older car.

And oddly enough I can't remember any criticism of this 'artificial agility' in the R when all the reviewers, bovingdon included were mooning over it last year.....
