OT: WEC 6hrs of Spa
Not a great weekend for Porsche at Spa.
Got beaten in all classes although the 919s, which were beaten by the Toyotas, were running a Le Mans aero configuration in preparation for the 24hr.
In the GTE class, the RSRs were beaten by the 488s and the Ford GTs. 6th was the best they could do.

Time to go Turbo.

Three Wheelin'
I was standing on top of the pitlane building this saturday when that exact thought struck me. When the GT2RS hits the market they can use that as an excuse to go turbo in the RSR. And it's possible, since the competition validation of GT3 and RS can still come from Cup races.
But it would contradict interviews I've seen and read that went into detail how and why they choose the current NA config for the RSR.
Another salient detail. Mark Webber was a guest at our hospitality tent, he said and I quote "GT cars will not be hybrid any time soon". I'm just not sure if he meant the racecars or the streetcars, allthough he had been talking about the Mission-E just before that. In the context of the interveiw it must have meant streetcars. That must mean the current rigid valve train engine must have ample room for improvement because going turbo for GT3 and RS seems out of the question logically !
