Update: We are holding a webex meeting Thursday, July 6th at 7pm mountain to discuss the agenda for our August 3rd meeting in Atlanta. We will announce the members in our delegation shortly after that.

 

This is an area we will be discussing in our meeting with Porsche.

 

As the design is the same between the E/F/G engines, the only big difference is DLC coating on the cam on the G series (GT3RS and 911R), yes it is likely they too will have troubles, hard to say when though as the DLC coatings are very hard. The wear occurs when no oil film is present, and the current cam/lifter lash (distance between them) squeezes the oil film out...

No action in the past few days. Stalled at 75% of the goal with
$3797.89 in donations from 55 people (many of whom are not owners but supported this worthwhile effort).

The meeting is fast approaching and I'm optimistic that more concerned owners will bridge the gap so we can meet the goal.

Yes there is, Chris. We have a pretty solid outline and we are working on the presentation.
