Default Best new GT3 build for track use

If you were building a GT3 for a track enthusiast, what option boxes would you tick?

I'm thinking...

- PDK
- standard (iron) brakes
- LWB seats
- Larger full tank
- Sport chrono (for stopwatch clock and lap trigger prep)
- bright color (GR, Yellow, or white with graphics)
- black wheels (brake dust)
- steering wheel in alcantara with center marker red
- fire exstinguisher

anythinh else?

Best wheel finish for brake dust IMHO is platinum satin

Your build is ideal for a track focused GT3, other than I agree with jridge that platinum satin wheels are best to hide brake dust.

Looks good, but PDK and Sport Chrono certainly not necessary (gearbox a personal choice and many better timers than the included one).

Also, the Black wheels will show chips very clearly (which are unfortunately common on these wheels).

Also, some people need to the lift to get up the ramp of a trailer, if you think you may ever do that.

Drop the sport Chrono and get yourself a AIM Solo DL. Otherwise, good track build.

Agreed. Drop chrono. For sure plan to add harness bar and belts.

- PDK - only if laptimes mean everything
- standard (iron) brakes - yes
- LWB seats - 100%
- Larger full tank - no?
- Sport chrono (for stopwatch clock and lap trigger prep) - no!
- bright color (GR, Yellow, or white with graphics) - YES!
- black wheels (brake dust) - platinum would hide is better
- steering wheel in alcantara with center marker red - yes
- fire exstinguisher - why not

Too bad there's no clubsport in the USA, or radio delete on GT3... then just get out on track and drive it!

For sure. It sucks that we can't get the package.

Surprised people saying no to the larger tank. If I was building for the track, for me it would be:

1. Larger tank

Everything else there are cheaper and/or better options after-market.

^^^ Agreed. I'd want the larger tank too. Have it on the RS (didn't on the GT4). It's very nice. LWB would be must have as well although I get your point on aftermarket options.

Yeah I mean it depends if you're going for lap times or just lapping for fun...guys here bring 20L fuel cans and fill up during the day, none of us would ever fun full fuel...maybe 1/4 remaining at any time.

Also depends on proximity of petrol stations to the track, we would have one within a 15min drive of the track too.
