I hear you. Had a bad one myself last year. Flew off mine, airborne for 30', did a 360, landed up against a hydro pole with the bike on top of me. That ended my riding for the year. This year it's been good so far. My wife keeps reminding that I'm not a spring chicken any longer. Oh well, I'm stubborn.
Long story. Here's the quick version. Long steep down hill stretch only to make a sharp turn at the bottom, a car got a bit to close, had to make a choice, hit a curb, went airborne and the rest, as they say is history.

Oh, I'm around. It's just that it rains every time I come, so no one else shows up to track days. Last weekend got the first non-wet track day since last August.
A little over a week ago, I had a pretty bad accident on my bike. As I sat in my hospital bed, drugged out, I never once thought about what my RS or bikes were worth but rather how fast I could be riding/driving again. The memories I treasure are the things I've experienced and the people I've met while riding or driving; never what I sold them for. I guess it takes some people longer to figure that out. Mooty has
I missed this post initially. Sorry to hear about the injury. Feel better soon!

It happens in a blink of an eye. Had a friend eat it a few months back. Glad you are doing better!
It sure does with zero time to think, just had to react. Fortunately, injuries were not too bad, although golf and riding took a back seat.
Glad to hear it wasn't worse (although it was plenty bad!) and that you are doing better! Makes one appreciate the little things we all take for granted when in good health!

When buying an RS for $40-60k above sticker, it's hard not to think about depreciation since you literally bought something with an artificially inflated price. That goes double for 911 R and the like.
Porsche created this mess by arbitrarily limiting production.
The OP is right. But we all know it isn't that simple. Money is powerful.
