Fuel gauge issue

I own a 2015 GT3 and im currently facing an issue witht the fuel gauge. My car is fitted with a 90 ltr tank instead of a 65.
The current fuel gauge isnt responding after a fill up and is always showing that the fuel tank is full. I have taken it to the dealership a few times now and they have recalibrated the fuel tank a couple of time but the problem is still not solved. The dealership appears to be clueless and they have no idea on how to fix it. My car stayed in the dealership since February 12th. The first reply in the report by their technitions is that its a "state of art" and its the first time they see this issue. The only answer im getting now is that there is no issue and that this is normal ! Im confused on how they are unable to find the problem and solve it.
The service manager suggested that they change the sender unit but the technition insisted that it will not fix the problem.
If anyone has had a similar problem and got it fixed ide love for them to help out !

On my 2015 GT3 I can drive a lot of miles before the needle moves off of full. How many miles have you driven the car for after filling it up?

I have driven the car almost 250km (150 miles) and the needle was still saying the tank is full, I drove through traffic and also floored the gas down whenever i had the chance yet nothing changed.

I can't remember how many miles I drove before the needle moved, but it was unusual to say the least. But I don't know if it was 150 miles!

I have a 2015 and the same way. I would guess that they only have on tank indicator so when you have the larger tank it only starts to read once fuel drops to around 16 gallons remaining.
If driven on the highway it has over 400 miles of range so 150 would most likely still read full.

Does that remaining distance read out also not go down? The fuel gauge moves slowly in my experience but the numeric readout seems more sensitive.

I think the extra 7 gallons of the larger tank could easily get you 150miles (at just over 20mpg) before you catch up to where the smaller tank would start to register less than full. Try driving much further without filling up...

I have also s 2015 with the 90 ltr tank. What u describe is normal. I think Porsche calibrated the gas gauge using the smaller tank, thus with the large tank it shows full for a long time. I would suggest u drive the car for about 400 kms (250 miles) check the gauge and then go fill the car. See if the numbers correspond.

I think Grant is right: It is as if the fuel gauge believes that you have a 65L tank.
(It is really annoying that the gauge don't work as it is supposed to. I have that problem on my 991 RS and on my 2007 GT3 so it must be a really tough problem to solve for Porsche...)

I am planning to keep driving the car to see when exactly i will start getting a reading and if nothing happens I'll continue until the car runs out of gas.[/QUOTE]
Not a good idea to drive until fuel runs out. Lots of crud accumulates on the bottom of the tank and not good to clog up the fuel filters with it. The Fuel Tank
behavior you describe is normal. It was obviously calibrated for the smaller tank
size - but so what? It's never been a problem for me over 20K miles of driving.
Just set your Odometer to Zero each time you get fuel and plan to refuel when it read 1/4 tank or so. The advantages of the larger Tank more than make up for
its inaccuracy when filled.
