Yes because of manual. They could have kept the .2 the exact same as .1 otherwise for all I care

Default Manual

I plan to trade or sell my 991.1.

Want:
1. the manual (I am looking for new challenges at the track.)
2. race-derived engine
3. PTS???

I am selling/trading my 2014 and expecting a .2 in late 2018 or early 2019. By then, the 2014 will have between 80,000 and 90,000 miles and I think that's enough for a daily driver. Someone will get a well broken in weekend car and I'll get a new daily driver

I'm still on the fence as to whether to stick with PDK or go back to a stick. If I was making this decision 1 year ago, it would have been 6 speed or bust. Some time last fall, I was seduced by the Dark Side (PDK)

I said yes. I never got to build my .1 so I can build this one. Change color, new car, new warranty and possible better motor. Still up in the air on manual.

I don't think I will; I adore GT3s - have owned several, will own more - but I don't think this car merits an upgrade for me.

As I posted in this thread... https://rennlist.com/forums/991-gt3-...st-geneva.html

... I believe that:

(1) The "992" Carrera will be launched at the 2018 Paris Motor Show (October)

(2) The 992 GT3 will feature a further development of the upgraded 4.0L flat six engine given the substantial investment Porsche have made to "get it right"

(3) The 992 GT3 will continue to offer the manual transmission option, as it will be a mostly carryover engine

Nothing is for certain. I'll take a 6 speed 500hp NA 4.0 now in case I can't in the future. If the 992 GT3 has an improved version, I can trade it in then.

Of course it isn't; I am indicating - implicitly through my choice (and quite literally by writing this) - that I believe it's more likely than not that the 992 GT3 will be as I described. If it's not, I can always buy a used 991.2 or a McLaren or ... whatever else.

107 votes and it looks pretty close to dead even right now. And to be clear, I do not believe there is a right or wrong answer on this. Regardless which GT3 you end up owning, you own a GT3! Come on!

Life is good!

^No right and wrong - if your engine goes they upgrade you to the 4.0 but they never tell you
