Many things are possible, but even here in Europe, those who chase all the informations from Porsche AG have nothing real.

As for the previous generations, personnal advice would be 525/530 hp, GT2 aero, weissach package, 4.0l. But nobody knows for the moment.

I have a pre-order signed from Porsche Saarland, if i obtain informaitons, i'll put it here of course.

i thought that it will be just a facelift - same car as we know it + fine tuning.

but i think already that there could happen something special as long there is no time for a "new 997 4.0"
Weissach is possible, the other 2? 0 chance I would guess. This new engine can do 520-540 without many hardships, no reason to go 4.2, no testing, doesn't make much sense.
MT won't happen at least in the normal RS, maybe a version for the end of the 991.2 platform (997 4.0 style).

I'd be surprised to see a manual option...I think it's brilliant that they did that for the GT3.

It makes the models a bit different and will sell more cars vs diluting the GT3 allure of the manual.

I have only one guarantee in all this speculation. Serious ADM’s....in the $50K range, maybe more

That's the assumption, but Porsche's MO is to amortize any investment over as many platforms as possible so you never know.

I suspect we'll see carbon wheels as an option on more models going forward for the same reason now that they invested in their own carbon wheel building machine....

Now back to our regularly scheduled program...

I'm guessing that this will come out Geneva 2018. I'm curious on the HP and what other improvements they've made.

dam that RS looks so good.. Love the fb and it's new aero/lip.. That hood gives it a menacing presence along with the other aero changes.. That wing looks like it needs more attack angle?

It does look awesome....just waiting to see if it's worth the price of admission from the .1RS.....gotta think that with price increase and ADM it will cost $50K+ on a trade apples to apples.....

Vowed I would never buy a black car, but DAMN, that thing looks mean

did anyone else notice that little crease on the front bumper to the left of the license plate? Is the 991.2 GT3 or GT2RS bumper like that (or is that just a reflection)?
