r, 4.0, and gt2rs at manhattan motorcars

4.0 RS will hold value and appreciate.
The 911R will drop in price before having any chance of going back up. The 4.0 manual 991.2 GT3 won't be good for R values. They all just had their stomachs drop with yesterday's GT3 news. I think you'll see $100-150K over MSRP prices first before they ever start going up again. They won't be at current levels for another 20 years.
Or if you want latest and greatest, get the .2 GT3 in a manual for around $200K loaded.

As to the trifecta posted, they are from an Rl members collection: so I'll let him post or send PM's to those that have questions about the cars.

Many didn't take the allocation based on a "what if" scenario around the 3RS craziness and those that did, have already flipped or wished they had. Hate to say but a 200k fluctuation in pricing is a rounding error for most R owners.

Even Andreas Preuninger mentioned all the letters comments he's gotten from R owners worried about the values of their cars with new upcoming models that may have this or that.
If you don't care about pricing, why be so upset?

I would get the R over the RS4.0 if the price on R was lower. At this current conjucture and knowing that I put miles on my car I think the 4.0RS is the safer play and will be less costly when I exit in a year and 2500 miles later.
I have a good idea who owned the cars and I have riden in a 4.0RS with him I like to think I keep cars but I have owned over 50 p and f cars and I sell when I am done driving.

Rich - my buddy had a triple black 4.0RS and it is still the best car I have ever driven. I'm sure the R is great but honestly, I'd rather have a .1RS. FWIW, I think the RS 4.0 will always be the smart buy at the right price. It is a truly special car. Can't imagine you'd be disappointed with either.

I want to see if you sell it next year. These cars are hard to sell. I get emails and offers all the time. Just can't do it!

997 4.0 RS over the 911R any day. The 911R doesn't look good to me. The 991.2 GT3 is a better car too, 9000rpm redline and new 4.0 engine with better low end torque.

About a year ago I was looking at a 4.0 with similar mileage offered at 499 and I got the seller down to 425, but was stubborn and didn't want to spend more than 400... so I walked.
cant believe they are up $100k in such a short time frame.
