I wish this is true, but my local dealer refused to take our deposits because there are already too many customers lining up for theirs and my guess is that most of their purposes will be reselling for profits instead of really use/drive them. sigh.....
That particular dealer might be keeping some allocations for themselves to sell at markup. Just find a different dealer willing to take a deposit

Don't worry. My local dealer (though in Europe) said I got their one and only RS. Last time I checked about a year ago he had already sold another 6. I personally would not fall for that again and will wait to get a late production car.

That's the biggest dealer in our region and I suspect the others would have allocations left at this point, though, I will make a few phone calls when they open in the morning and see what's the situation is like. Actually, I had my deposit down last summer for the gen2 GT4 and even that, I was told it is not a guaranteed allocation.

Usually as soon as some of these rare GT cars took delivery, the pre-owned departments or luxury/exotic dealerships will have many of those on their floor selling at some ridiculous markups from the MSRP. Cars like these have now become tools to flip for quick money rather than for people who want to actually own and drive them which is pathetic.
Sweet! 4.0, 9k and totally redesigned oiling system. Checks all my boxes. This is now the sweet spot in the lineup for track junkies. Put some 265/325 tires on 19" wheels and it will also be the fastest car in the lineup.

There are none here in California that I am aware of that are still taking deposits with any remote chance of getting a car based on their allocation history and expectations. If there are, I'd love for someone to post the name of the dealerships.
