The vast majority of the complainers will end up wanting one; I complained about some aspects of the 991.1 GT3, and I ended up buying one! I'm not old but I've been around long enough to know how this charade works.
I'm paraphrasing, but Frank conveyed the following in Austin: "For sure we will make the right choice and deliver the appropriate product to the GT model customers that will be engaging to drive."
I can assure you that the 992 - assuming it's called that - will have the following attributes vs. the 991:
Faster
More refined exterior aesthetic
More luxurious and technologically advanced/integrated interior (think 918 center console, new Panamera)
More efficient
More expensive
'The trailer got caught by the wind and blew off to the ditch where it then crashed lying upside down,' our man with the long lens reports.
'Inside were two Porsche test cars, one of them a mule for the new Porsche 911 (the 992). Both cars are probably totalled, but the most important thing is that nobody got hurt.'
It does look like the cabin is pushed farther forward and that is shortening the front bonnet. Not a fan of that look. It's starting to look like a smaller version of the Panamara. I loved the "long hood" look of the previous cars. Not really interested in this one...

Proportions don't look any different than the .1 if you compare pics side to side. Wheelbase looks the same, door position looks identical and overhangs look near identical.
Well that could be true either way. It will be interesting to see the final result. It will be difficult to move the engine farther forward in the car's architecture and not do something with the demissions o the other parts...unless that make the car longer. Current RSR architecture has the engine farther forward...

Maybe at some point Porsche will do away with the rear seats which barely serve a purpose.. that would free things up a bit
