Default Got my 911R Diffuser

Back from a trip and found this. After reading the other thread on this topic, looks like I need some mods to fit my GT3. Will be visiting Sharkwerks.

Will continue to post pics.

I just adore that you have road racing on the screen in the background.

Any updates on the install of the diffuser? I just got mine from suncoast and I'm going to start the install tonight or tomorrow. I guess I'll lay the stock diffuser on top of the R diffuser so I can trace out where I need to cut for the trans pan exposure.

Diff cooler or trans pan/cooler? I thought it was the trans because the GT3 and RS have the PDK and the 911R has a manual, different trans pan/sizes.

Default rear diffuser

Mine arrived today as well. Ordered from Suncoast.

Now I just need to get that car back from Florida.

OK All, I installed mine tonight. I cut the opening for the trans cooler with a dremel, using a cutting wheel, then a sanding wheel on after to sand/grind down any burrs on the metal. I layed it down on my bench Fins down and cut from the top side down. After that I touched it up with some gloss black spray paint, just around the cut edges where bare metal was showing. It bolted right up and looks good. I apologize for the horrible pics from my cell phone, and for the car and diffuser being dirty, I'm beat and didn't clean it off yet(tomorrow), I'll take daytime pics tomorrow when the car is on the ground.

Oh, sorry. And I took the old one off, layed it right on top of the new R diffuser, lined up the mounting holes and traced a line for the opening to match the stock one.

^^^ So how much do you think the bypass will diminish the effects of the diffuser?

Well Bronson, I'm not a die hard track guy, maybe you are and it might hurt the way the diffuser would actually work with the stock center muffler. . I will track once in a while but mostly use my car on the street where the diffuser will be used more for looks than actual aero, lol. Funny that you brought that up, if you look in the tips, I just put that bypass on tonight along with the diffuser, just seeing how it sounds.

I'm not a track guy either, more curious than anything.

Fixed it,lol. That bypass was ridiculously loud, not for me. With the center muffler in place, it looks like nice smooth aero with the new diffuser.
